1.3 Very Short Engagement

I found out that Walter was not as young as I thought he was, so I quickly moved up our plans for a wedding. After he got off work, I met him at a cute little park and told him my plan.
"So, I've been thinking..."
"...about you. About us."

I think Walter was both happy and a bit surprised as well. I think he might have been embarrassed at the lady that was so obviously eavesdropping.
"I'm a little overwhelmed right now. I feel like a kid."

Eventually we moved a more semi-private location and I just got down to business.
"I love you so much!"

"We should go steady for sure."
"Hold that thought about going steady. I have bigger plans in mind."

"No way."

"Yes, way. Will you marry me and be mind forever?"

Now, Walter was really shocked and quite embarrassed, but he knows a good thing when he sees one. He accepted and I threw one more wrench into his toolbox. I told him I didn't want any engagement. I wanted to get married right then and there. At this point, I think he was used to my straightforwardness and just went with it.
"I do."

"It's official."

And one final surprise. Walter brought a few simoleons (§1,948)with him to our relationship, but the greatest thing he brought was a car, which we sold in order to build a tiny starter home.
Home Sweet Home
